Sub-10 Debut IRONMAN and a Kona Qualification at 21
I’m Indianna Griffith, a 21-year-old from Sydney racing in the 18-24 age group. I’m relatively new to long-course triathlon but highly competitive and ambitious. I joined Koa Sports in January 2026 because I wanted a greater push in training—something that would get the absolute most out of me and the limited hours I have available each week.
It’s not just a program it’s also the teaching, it’s not just a list of sessions in TrainingPeaks. I actually understand what the numbers mean, why each workout is there, and how it all fits together. That knowledge turns the program into something I can own rather than simply follow. The communication is constant and responsive—regular feedback, often weekly adjustments, and never any feeling that I’m being left to figure things out alone. Everything is dialled to the right intensity: hard enough to drive progress, never so much that it breaks me.
Before Koa I had never won my age group at a 70.3 and I hadn’t even raced an Ironman. Seven months later I won my age group at both Geelong 70.3 and Western Sydney 70.3. Then at my debut Ironman in Cairns I finished in 9:54, took the age-group win, and qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona.
The biggest gains have come on the bike, and I genuinely love how hard the training is. The supportive team culture at races has made the whole experience even better. I’m excited to see what the next chapter holds and really happy to be part of this group.
If you’re young, competitive, and ready to be pushed properly while still understanding exactly why you’re doing the work, Koa Sports delivers.
