Greg Mcdermott
OUR COACHES
Endurance Coach, Ultraman & IRONMAN
ACCOUNTABILITY TO YOUR GOALS.
Greg McDermott inspires through action. He constantly challenges his athletes, taking them to places they never thought possible. With an uncanny ability to draw the best out of people - whether first-timers or seasoned competitors - Greg creates an environment where growth feels both achievable and exciting.
He knows what it means to balance training with work, family and life’s other demands, and he coaches with that practical insight. The result is smart, sustainable coaching that fit real lives rather than demanding athletes contort their lives around sport.
As a full-time endurance coach, Greg is an Accredited Triathlon Australia Coach, an Accredited Level 2 TrainingPeaks Coach, and a Working with Children Blue Card holder. These credentials sit alongside years of hands-on experience guiding athletes of every level toward their goals - whether that is completing a first triathlon, racing an Ironman, or simply becoming stronger, fitter and more confident.
Greg’s own athletic résumé speaks volumes. He has cycled solo around Australia (14,500 km in 78 days), finished Ultraman Australia (10 km swim / 421 km cycle / 84 km run), completed four Ironman races, raced at the 70.3 World Championships, and finished multiple Ironman 70.3 events. He has lived the long days, the hard sessions and the mental challenges he now helps others navigate. That lived experience underpins every plan he writes and every conversation he has with his athletes.
What sets Greg apart is the combination of high standards and genuine care. He is passionate, approachable and deeply invested in the people he coaches. Athletes describe him as someone who believes in them before they fully believe in themselves - and then helps them prove that belief was justified.
