Founder & Endurance Coach
LIFE CHANGING ACHIEVEMENTS.
Tim Ballintine is the founder of Koa Sports and a full-time endurance coach who lives and breathes the sport. For more than a decade he has dedicated himself to one thing: helping athletes of every level unlock their potential through genuine, hands-on coaching.
Koa Sports has grown into the most successful one-to-one coaching TriClub in the global IRONMAN Program. That success is no accident. It comes from a simple but non-negotiable philosophy: real coaching, not templates. There are no workout libraries, no drag-and-drop plans, and no one-size-fits-all schedules. Every session is built with thought, care and precision - day by day, week by week, month by month - around the individual athlete’s experience, ability, goals and real-life availability.
Tim understands the investment athletes make and the sacrifices required. He knows how hard it is just to know what to do, let alone when to do it. That is why he stays in the athlete’s corner through both the good days and the tough ones and when the triumphs finally arrive, they feel all the more special because someone has walked the journey with you.
His coaching foundation is rock-solid. A university graduate, Tim has progressed through the official pathways of AusTri, TrainingPeaks and IRONMAN University. Yet he is the first to say that a decade of full-time coaching has been the greatest teacher of all. The results speak for themselves. In the same month he has guided an age-group athlete to an IRONMAN podium in Kona and helped a first-timer cross the finish line of their debut IRONMAN 70.3. From world-class performances to personal breakthroughs, the common thread is the same: athletes who feel the passion, the care and the relentless attention that goes into every detail of their experience.
